A child perished in a house fire in Morvant this afternoon (Sunday October 24th).
Reports states that the fire which took place at Petunia Avenue, inside Coconut Drive, Morvant started at the top storey of a duplex apartment, just after 12:30pm.
One adult who was reported to be the grandfather was able to rescue two other children who occupied the home, while the third child was trapped inside a bedroom and perished.
San Juan Fire Service station responded to the call as Morvant Fire Station did not have an appliance.
