La Horquetta police are investigating a shooting in the area on the Tuesday afternoon, which left a 34-year-old woman with gunshot wounds to both arms.
Around 2:30pm, the woman was sitting in her Mazda 323 talking to a male friend who was standing outside her car on Tulip Lane, when they saw two gunmen walking towards the car.
The friend walked back inside his home and both gunmen tried to open the doors of the woman’s car as she drove off.
The gunmen then shot at the woman hitting her in both arms.
She drove herself to the La Horquetta police station where she was then taken to hospital.
She is warded in stable condition.
Officers of the Northern Division crime scene investigation unit visited the scene and found several spent shells.
