West Indies Lose ODI Series Against Australia Following 83 Runs Defeat In Second Match

World Champions, Australia, won the second one day international against the West Indies by 83 runs to take the three match series 2-0 at the Sydney Cricket Ground Sunday.

Set 259 runs to win, West Indies reached 175 all out from 43.3 overs.

Sean Abbott, who top scored for Australia, with 69 runs, returned with the ball and had figures of 3 wickets for 40 runs from 8 overs to set up the victory for the home side.

Josh Hazelwood provided support taking 3 for 40 from 8 overs.

When West Indies batted Keacy Carty top scored 40 runs but the rest of batting failed to offer resistance.

Gukadesh Motie was the main wicket takers for the West Indies with 3 wickets for 28 runs from 10 overs when Australia batted.

Fast bowler, Alzarri Joseph, took 2 wickets along with Romario Shepherd.

The third and final odi will be played on Monday at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
