The TTS Scarborough and the TTS Port of Spain have arrived in T&T.
The two Australian-built Offshore Patrol Vessels, arrived this morning.
Austal Limited was awarded a $126 million contract for the two patrol boats by the T&T Government in August 2019, with financial support provided by the Australian Government’s Defence Export Facility.
These are expected to be used by the T&T Coast Guard to protect the country’s porous borders.
Austal stated that both Vessels are capable of patrols up to 28 days, with a range of over 3,000 nautical miles and a top speed in excess of 25 knots.
