WASA: Repairs At Navet Water Treatment Plant To Be Completed By Friday

The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in parts of South East Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, who are currently experiencing low pressures or a disruption in their water supply that, this is due to three leaks along the cross-country 36 inch diameter Navet trunk pipeline, between the Navet Plant and TCO Booster Station.

Emergency repairs are scheduled to be completed by midnight on Friday.

Areas affected include:

Rochard Douglas Road, Rochard Road, Upper Penal Rock Road (from Platanite Trace to Quarry Road including side streets), SS Erin Road (up to Laltoo Trace including side streets), Picton Development, Esperance, Papourie Road, Golconda Settlement, Ragoo Village, Harripaul Village, Wellington Gardens, Lallbeharry Trace, Barrackpore, Borde Narve, Friendship, St. John, Bronte, Reform, Ben Lomand, Harmony Hall, Ste Madeline, Retrench, Corinth, Palmyra, Mt. Stewart, Cleghorn, St. Clements, St. Charles.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe borne water supply schedules.

A limited truck borne water supply is available upon request. For further information or assistance, customers are asked to contact WASA’s Customer Call Centre toll free at 800-4420/4426.
