Wasa Re-Issues Advisory: Pipe Borne Water Safe

False, speculative, based on opinion and not supported by any scientific testing of the water quality, this is how the Water and Sewage Authority describes as an old misleading and unsubstantiated voice note recording currently in circulation, admonishing the public to refrain from drinking pipe borne water, because it may result in illness.

WASA says the Authority responded to the situation previously on March 7th last year.

The utility says it performs ongoing, sampling and testing of the water it produces throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

It assures customers the water currently being supplied through its distribution system complies with the Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality of the World Health Organization and is safe for use.

The Authority has launched an investigation into these claims.
