WASA Describes As False Reports of Planned Shutdown At Desalcott During Upcoming Weekend

False is how the Water and Sewerage Authority describes reports of a planned shutdown at the Desalination Company of Trinidad and Tobago over the coming weekend.

WASA advises customers in Central and South Trinidad, says during the upcoming weekend, from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November, DESALCOTT will be increasing its production from the contracted 40 million gallons per day, to 42 MGD.

This follows a directive from the Minister of Public Utilities,  Marvin Gonzales, for the Authority to request an increase in production from DESALCOTT to meet the anticipated additional demand during the coming Divali weekend.
