Vallance Rambarat: Ransom was made for the safe return of Anisha Hosein

Leader of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, Vallance Rambarat, claims that a ransom was made for the safe return of Anisha Hosein-Singh.

The group was involved, along with the police service in the search for Hosein.

He said that once they came on board, they agreed to a gag order so they were quiet during the search.

He disclosed to another radio this morning that when a ransom demand was made, the search ceased because it entered a sensitive negotiation period.

A post on social media on Tuesday by one Richie Singh stated that there had been no ransom demand by the kidnappers for his wife.

However Rambarat said that he was informed that there had indeed been a ransom demand.

He also said that pictures being shared widely on social media of one of the alleged kidnappers were not connected to the kidnapping but to another crime.

Rambarat said he spoke with the family shortly after Hosein was found.

He divulged that she was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex Mt Hope after being taken to the police station.
