Six year old Kylie Maloney of Blake Avenue, Sangre Grande was shot in the stomach on Sunday January 8th, after three gunmen purporting to be police officers dressed in camouflage stormed her home, just after 2:30am.
According to reports two men were also shot but survived.
Kevon “Shrek” Lucas, 34, and Dexter Trothman, 45, were wounded.
Kylie’s mother, Akela Maloney, 26, was also shot.
Kylie was pronounced dead at the scene, while the others were taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital for medical treatment.
However, Lucas refused treatment while Akela Maloney was shot in the foot, Trothman was shot in the shoulder.
Police reports indicate that the incident was gang-related.
