A man was killed while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred near El Socorro, San Juan.
Reports state that shortly after 6pm, the unidentified man was attempting to cross the westbound lane of the highway when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle.
The man went airborne and landed in the middle lane of the highway, where he died.
The incident led to a major traffic pile-up last evening.
Investigations are underway.
