A man well known to the police and said to be a gang member, was shot and wounded during an alleged police attack in Sealots, Port of Spain on Wednesday night.
Reports state that around 6:30pm, Keiron Lawrence, aka ‘Taliban’ of Sealots, was in the company of other men, who fired upon a police sergeant in the Port of Spain area.
The officer returned fire and shot Lawrence, while the other armed suspects escaped.
Lawrence was taken to hospital where he remains warded.
A manhunt is now on for the others.
