Chairman of the Tunapuna/Piarco Regional, Kwasi Robinson, says clean-up and response efforts are underway following heavy rains and flooding on Wednesday.
He said the constituencies of Arouca/Maloney and Lopinot/Bon Air was most affected.
He explained that the areas were affected by flooding as well as landslips.
He said there is also concern that the Caroni River could burst its banks.
He disclosed that they are trying to clear blocked drains as they expect more rains which would exacerbate the flooding situation.
