T&T’s gaming industry needs to step up

Attorney General, Faris Al Rawi, says three international institutions have cited the need for Trinidad and Tobago to step up its systems to get the gaming industry up to standard.

The Attorney General in the Senate today said highlighting concerns with respect to this country and gaming compliance are the Financial Action Task Force, the Global Forum and the European Commission.

The AG was speaking during debate on the Gambling Gaming and Betting Control Bill in the Senate today.

The AG said with upgraded legislation the seven thousand workers will be better protected.
