TTPS Victim and Witness Support Unit provide counselling for Harpe st residents

The Victim and Witness Support Unit in collaboration with the Besson Street Police Station conducted a Crisis Support and Wellness Walk throughout the Community of Harpe Place, located along Observatory Street, Port-of-Spain, Saturday.
The intervention comes after the murders of five and the wounding of three others on March 16th, at Harpe Place, Port-of- Spain.
The intervention, ‘Healing Harpe Place’, is the second in a series to help bring healing to the residents.
The first intervention took place on March 19th.

The VWSU engaged with children and adults in a therapeutic space.
This session was aimed at building emotional resilience to instances of violence, crime and trauma that have occurred within the community.

Police are working with the probable cause being gang-related, the investigations are ongoing.
The investigation into the murders and woundings is being spearheaded by ASP Bridgelal.
