TTPS Acquires 1,000 New Body Cameras

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is currently in the distribution phase of body cameras having recently acquired an additional one thousand of the devices for use by officers of the TTPS.

Prior to this acquisition, the TTPS already had one hundred and sixty body cameras already in use, Minister of National Security, Fitzgerald Hinds, told the Senate on Tuesday afternoon.

Minister Hinds said the TTPS now has 1,160 body cameras and these are being deployed in the fight against crime.

Minister Hinds was asked by Independent Senator, Paul Richards, how many cameras are intended to be acquired in total for the TTPS.
