Trinis really ‘harden’ – 29 arrested overnight for breaking curfew, 79 ticketed for no masks

Members of the public continue to find themselves in breach of the current regulations, as the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has revealed that 29 persons were arrested overnight for breaching the 9pm to 5am curfew.

This brings the total to 213 persons who have been held for the offence since the curfew began.

In their daily update today, the TTPS graphic also showed that over the past 24 hours, police issued 79 tickets to persons who were not wearing face masks in public.

Two more were held for breaching other aspects of the public health regulations.

There were 484 patrols over the last day along with 53 road blocks.

The TTPS said that at present 233 officers have tested positive for COVID-19 with 1,080 currently in quarantine.
