The country’s murder toll climbed to 504 on Sunday afternoon after four men were killed in three separate incidents in Morvant, St Helena and Marabella.
Police said in an early morning incident in St Helena on Sunday, Akil “Croc” Nesbit, 36, and Ruben Sabarbruce, 27, were shot in the car park of a bar on Caroni South Bank Road. Officers also said third man, of the same address, was shot in the groin and chest. He died later at hospital.
A Morvant man was the third murder when he was fatally shot after he and several others were fired upon by unknown gunmen on Saturday night. Police reported that minutes after they shouted at a motorist to dim his lights unknown assailants opened fire.
