Trinidad and Tobago drew 2-2 with Grenada in Group B play at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Myles Hippolyte opened the scoring for the visitors in the 24’, converting from the penalty spot following a handball in the box. Hippolyte extended the lead in the 28’ off the volley to capitalize on a punched out ball from Trinidad goalkeeper Denzil Smith.
Ryan Telfer cut the deficit for the hosts in the 43′, striking inside the box on a through ball from Reon Moore. Moore went on to equalize the encounter in the 74’ on a counter attack.
Trinidad and Tobago now shifts gear to its first away test against the Bahamas on Saturday in Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis. Grenada will host Costa Rica on Sunday in St. George’s.
