A Venezuelan national is set to represent Trinidad and Tobago for the first time at the Miss Grand International 2023 in Vietnam.
The national pageant was held on Sunday evening at MovieTowne, Port of Spain and following the judging, Venezuelan national Mileidy Materano was crowned.
During the question and answer segment, a translator was provided for Materano.
Citizens have taken to social media to voice their views, as most are upset that a Venezuelan national will representing T&T at an international pageant.
