Trinidad And Tobago Urged to Reevaluate Relations with Israel

There is a call for Trinidad and Tobago to reassess its bilateral agreement with Israel.

The Trinidad and Tobago government is being urged to take immediate steps, including severing all ties with Israel, expelling Israeli diplomats, publicly denouncing Israel’s actions, and supporting international justice by advocating for the referral of Israel to the International Criminal Court.

The appeal comes from non-profit organisation, Waajhatul Islaamiyyah, or Islamic Front.

In a letter addressed to, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM, Dr Amery Browne, the organization highlights concerns over Israel’s recent actions in Palestine.

It commented on the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, citing extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure and violations of international humanitarian law.

The NGO group said  reports from Amnesty International and insights from Professor Ilan Pappe underscore the gravity of the situation.
