DCP McDonald Jacob: “We will not tolerate an attack on police officers”

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is making it abundantly clear that it will not tolerate any attack to its police officers or its physical resources.
This was the assertion made on Thursday by Head of the TTPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mc Donald Jacob, who encourage First Division Officers to continue going after criminal elements and those bent on creating havoc throughout the society.
DCP Jacob was speaking during an award ceremony at the Police Administration Building, Port-of-Spain, where he strongly condemned the shooting at the Belmont Police Station which occurred around 3 am on Thursday.
He said several operational units are pursuing various leads into the shooting as “the TTPS views this incident as an attack on all law enforcement officers and the rule of law in Trinidad and Tobago.”
As such he maintained, the TTPS will relentlessly pursue all avenues to bring the perpetrators of this “dastardly act” to justice.
