Trinibad artiste Kalonji Arthur made his first public statement after being shot in the carpark of The Brix Hotel on September 2nd.
Kalonji’s girlfriend Bridget James, 25, who is deceased worked at the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The couple were celebrating James’s birthday when they made several posts on Instagram pinning their location and whereabouts during the day.
They were ambushed by a gunman in the hotel’s carpark – James died on the scene while Kalonji was rushed to the hospital where he received medical treatment for gunshot wounds to both legs; he is currently recovering.
Kalonji, after weeks of staying quiet on the issue sent condolences to his girlfriend’s family and said he was thankful for a second chance at life after the incident.
