Police responded to the report where the victim alleged that around 5pm on Monday 26th October, 2020, he was driving his Toyota Corolla motor vehicle in a westerly direction along the Diego Martin Main Road, in the vicinity of Savannah No 1, when he was stopped by the suspect.

The victim allegedly offered the suspect a “drop” after the suspect requested to be taken to Rich Plain Road, Diego Martin.

However, the victim alleged that on reaching Covigne Road Corner, he heard a noise and the suspect announced a hold-up.

The victim reported that he glanced to his left and observed a black object resembling a firearm which caused him to become fearful for his life. The victim alleged that the suspect relieved him of a quantity of cash and a cellular phone.

The victim also alleged that the suspect told him to drive to Gokool Street, Diego Martin, where he relieved him of his motor vehicle, valued at $60,000.00.

The victim reported that the suspect drove off with the stolen vehicle in a northerly direction along the Diego Martin Main Road.

A broadcast was transmitted by the Command Centre and with the assistance of the Western Division Operation Centre, PC Kirby and PC Pierre of the West End Patrol responded to the report, proceeded to School Drive, Diego Martin where they arrested the suspect, recovered the vehicle and an imitation firearm.
