Trinbago Knight Riders Women Defeated In Opening Two Matches Of 6ixty Competition

Trinbago Knight Riders Women cricketers will be aiming for a better showing in the 6ixty competition when they play against Barbados Royals at 3pm Thursday and Guyana Amazon Warriors on Friday at 3pm.

TKR Women lost their first match today against the Royals at Basseterre, St Lucia today.

Batting first, Chloe Tryon made 63 runs to help guide the Royals to 108 for 4 of ten overs and ensure a  28 run victory.

In reply, TKR Women made 80 for 3 from their ten overs with Hayley Jensen top scoring with 22 not out and Kycia Knight retired hurt on 21.

TKR Women in their second game against Guyana Amazon Warriors Women lost the game by 15 runs.

Warriors made 81 for 2 off their allotted ten overs.

Captain Staphanie Taylor top scored with 29 not out which included one four and two sixes.

In their chase, TKR Women reached 66 from 9.3 overs.

Kycia Knight top scored with 22 runs.

Tomorrow at 5; 30pm Trinbago Knight Riders Men’s Team will come up against Barbados Royals at 5:30pm.

On Friday they take on Guyana Amazon Warriors at 12:30pm.
