Vehicular traffic and parking continues to be prohibited on specified streets in Port of Spain, for the ceremonial opening of Parliament, today, Monday 11 September 2023.
An official Notice from the Police Service states that the restrictions will remain in force between 6 am and 5 pm, with vehicular traffic restrictions kicking in at 10 am for St Vincent Street, Hart Street, Abercromby Street, and Knox Street.
Taxi drivers located on the affected streets have been relocated, and parking on the streets surrounding the Red House has been restricted only to official and authorised vehicles connected to the ceremonial event.
