THA Minority Leader tells executive: Stop avoiding questions on Order Paper!

The present executive of the Tobago House of Assembly is being asked to answer several outstanding questions which were poised on the Order Paper.

Minority Leader, Kelvon Morris, claims the questions which were posted to various secretaries have been deferred on several occasions as far back as September this year.

He alleges this development does not allow the Tobago public to be fairly informed on matters relating to them.

Morris said when this situation occurs it impacts on accountability and transparency.

He said some of the questions were posted to the THA Chief Secretary and the Secretaries for Tourism and Infrastructure.

Issues being pursued relate to the awarding of contracts, overseas travel by secretaries and the outcome of such visits which took place at the expense of the THA, international arrivals, the salaries of persons appointed to the Studley Park Board and negotiations.
