The Trinidad and Tobago Taxi Drivers Network is asking the government to hold off on increasing the cost of fuel in Monday’s national budget.
Government in the past has indicated it will be gradually easing its subsidy on fuel.
However, the network claims another fuel increase will be detrimental for taxi drivers.
It explains taxi drivers have been facing hardship due to hikes in the commodity in recent times as well as maintenance costs and bad roads.
