The South West Regional Health Authority will pause post-mortems at the San Fernando General Hospital until November 27th due to infrastructure upgrades.
In a release, the SWRHA said post mortems will now be conducted at the Point Fortin Hospital until further notice.
Some staff members will be moved to the hospital temporarily to accommodate the new change.
The Authority also said its internal fleet will manage the transportation of the bodies to the Point Fortin Hospital and arrangements will be made to facilitate families in need of transportation.
