Officers of the Stolen Vehicles Squad continue to work diligently, as another stolen vehicle was recovered in the Diego Martin district, yesterday, Monday 1st May 2023.
During an intelligence-led exercise, conducted in the Western Division between 8.45 am to 11.45 am, the officers proceeded to St. Lucien Road, Diego Martin. There they observed a silver Toyota Aqua vehicle, parked on the roadway. The officers made diligent checks, aimed at identifying the owner, which proved futile.
Investigations revealed that the car bore false number plates.
Additional checks also revealed that the vehicle was the subject of a burglary incident which occurred on April 30th in the Santa Cruz district.
The vehicle was seized and conveyed to the Santa Cruz Police Station for processing by the Criminal Investigations Department.
The exercise was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Ramkhelawan, Superintendent Pariman, and Assistant Superintendent Ramdass.
