The skeletal remains of what police suspect to be a man was found off the Lady Young Road, Belmont on Thursday evening.
According to reports, a hunter went searching for iguana on Davis Street, near the first bend away from the Hilton Hotel, when he found the remains about 50 feet down a hilly slope.
The hunter called officers from the Belmont Police Station who visited the scene with officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II.
A district medical officer also visited the scene and confirmed the remains as being human.
