Singing Sandra to be given a “Cultural Farewell” on Wednesday

Sandra ‘Singing Sandra’ Des Vignes-Millington will be laid to rest on Thursday.

But first she will be given a “cultural farewell” on Wednesday at Queen’s Hall, Port of Spain, where her body will lie for public viewing.

The ceremony on Wednesday will be filled with performers and speakers like NCC Chairman Winston ‘Gypysp’ Peters and Trinbago Unified Calypsonians’ Organisation (TUCO) president Lutalo “Brother Resistance” Masimba.

Wednesday’s ceremony will take place from 10 am-12 pm.

On Thursday from 10 am – 12 pm, an Orisha spiritual service will be held at the Hirondelle basketball court, Morvant close to where she grew up.

Sandra died on January 28 at the age of 64.
