Shooting in Belmont leaves 2 men nursing injuries

A 55-year-old man is among two men who were shot and wounded in Belmont on Thursday afternoon.

Officers of the Inter Agency Task Force responded to a report of a shooting at St Francois Valley Road, Belmont and found 55-year-old Roger Harewood of Upper Layan Hill, Belmont and Atiba Headley of China Town with gunshot wounds.

They were both found in the vicinity of St Lawrence Guest House on St Francois Valley Road.

Both men were taken to hospital for medical attention and remain warded at this time.

Police are continuing investigations.
