A 30-year-old Laventille man was shot dead inside his Williams Street home on Thursday afternoon.
The victim’s wife heard several loud explosions from the living room around 5pm and saw two men exiting the front door.
Her common law husband, Shakeel Paul was found slumped on a sofa, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The assailants escaped and Paul was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
