Investigations are underway into the beating of a 16-year-old student of the St Anthony’s College in Diego Martin.
The teen was badly beaten by a gang often boys, and reportedly sustained injuries to his face, ribs, chest, back and nose.
The Criminal Investigations Department, Community-Oriented Policing Section and the Child Protection Unit are investigating.
Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly, said a principal’s report is being compiled, to ascertain exactly who was involved in what she described as a “heinous attack”, and what were the circumstances surrounding it.
