Repairs on a ruptured 27-inch pipeline in Maraval to be fixed by Wednesday

The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in parts of Maraval, who are presently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that, this is due to a ruptured 27-inch transmission pipeline, located along Saddle Road, Maraval in
the vicinity of Cupen Road.

Emergency repair works are expected to be completed by 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday 24th February 2021.

Areas affected include:

Anderson Terrace, Brunette Street, Tapti Street, Kavari Street, Vallot Street, Cotton Hill, Lamy Street, Prada Street, Scott Street, Wainwright Street, Newbold Street and Maxwell Phillip Street.

Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe-borne water supply schedules.

Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in the vicinity of the jobsites and observe the instructions of Traffic Control Officers on duty; or use an alternative route where possible.
