Regional Crime Symposium Delivered Value For Money, Says PM Rowley

The benefits outweigh the expenditure, this is the assessment given by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, toward the 3.4 million dollars spent by the government on the Regional Symposium addressing Crime and Violence as a Public Health Issue at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad, Port of Spain, on 17th April, 2023.

Dr Rowley was at the time responding to concerns raised by Opposition Member of Parliament, Dr Roodal Moonilal, about the money spent for the two day event.

Dr Rowley said the benefits for this country and the Caribbean got value for the  tax payers dollars which was used for the event.

The Prime Minister also provided an update from the court concerning state owned Estate Management and Business Development Company, money paid to contractors, and the outstanding amount to be cleared under the tenure of Dr Moonilal as line minister in 2015.
