Ramesh Lawrence: Gov’t Should Appoint Interim Board To Run Paria Fuel In Light Of Inquiry

Attorney at law Ramesh Lawrence-Maharaj says the Government has a duty to take steps to take corrective action in the Paria issue.

He made the comment while speaking on Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show on Tuesday.

The former Attorney-General said that until the matter is sorted out, the Government should have considered appointing an interim board or persons to run the company.

Government announced that will be using international and local experts for the Commission of Enquiry.

Minister of Energy and Energy Industries, Stuart Young made the comment yesterday during the Post Cabinet News Briefing.

He also announced that the commission’s lead counsel will be Senior Counsel Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj.
