WASA workers ignored Duke’s ‘take a day off’ protest action

The Minister of Public Utilities, Marvin Gonzales, is now expressing gratitude to the employees of the Water and Sewerage Authority, (WASA), for their show of support and solidarity in reporting for duty.

Minister Gonzales in a media release issued this afternoon, applauded the workers for “rejecting the narrow, partisan self-interest calls by PSA President, Watson Duke, to stay away from work today.”

“The Minister urges employees of WASA to continue to work with the Management of the Authority as they seek to transform the organisation into an efficient and productive water utility company that delivers on its mandate to provide a reliable water supply to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.”
