Prime Minister, Dr. Rowley said even though T&T reached its May 23rd (the original deadline) for the Public Health Restrictions the country’s COVID-19 situation has worsened.
Dr. Rowley during today’s Media Health Briefing at the Diplomatic Centre disclosed that the public health regulations will now end on July 4 and the State of Emergency will go on for 90 days after it goes to parliament on Monday May 24.
He said however improvement of the country’s COVID numbers can mean earlier lifting of restrictions.
