Political analyst Dr Shane Mohammed says the UNC and PNM both need younger leadership.
This as both parties come out of an election which saw the lowest percentage turnout in more than 40 years.
This as the EBC revealed that the percentage turnout was Thirty point three four percent.
The turnout is marginally higher than the 29.45 percent recorded in 1980.
Speaking with News Power Now, he expressed his belief that unless a change in leadership is seen, the country risks seeing the same low turnout in 2025’s general election.
News Power Now asked Dr Mohammed if he saw a change of that nature taking place in time for the 2025 election.
He said while the options are limited, he believes it is inevitable.
