Tallawahs begin CPL title Defence with a win

Defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs got their CPL T20 title defence off to a winning start yesterday with an 11 run victory over St Lucia Kings.

Brandon King topscored for the Tallawahs with a massive 81 off 53 balls in their 20 overs.

The Kings won the toss and sent Tallawahs in to bat but could only stifle the team in the end with the damage already done as seven wickets fell in the final 5 overs for 40 runs.

Roston Chase attempted to lead his side with both the bat and the ball, taking 3 wickets for 39 and topscoring for the Kings with 53 but was unable to lead his team to victory.

Tallawahs eventually restricted the Kings to 176 to begin this season how they ended the last.
