Police trying to ID female pedestrian killed on CRH

Police are trying to identify the woman who died after being struck by a car along the eastbound lane of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway on Thursday night.

The driver, who lives at Building Five, Foster Quevedo, East Dry River, Port-of-Spain, told police he had been proceeding east around 11:30pm, when the victim allegedly ran across the highway.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, for treatment.
