Ukraine’s Prime Minister Says $750bn Needed To Rebuild The Country

Ukraine’s Prime Minister, Denys Shmyhal, says the country needs $750bn for a recovery plan.

Prime Minister Shmyhal made the comment at the Ukraine Recovery Conference being held in Lugano, Switzerland.

At the event leaders from around the globe as well as international organisations have been discussing how they will support Ukraine in its recovery and reconstruction, following the February 24th Russia invasion.

President of the European Commission, Ursula Von Der Leyen, said the European Union has mobilised around €6.2bn in financial support for Ukraine since the start of Russia’s invasion.
