Police have seized a pistol along with several rounds of ammunitions and marijuana during an exercise in the northern division on Friday night.
Reports state that one Glock 43x pistol, 2 magazines, 27 rounds 9mm ammunition, 6 rounds 7.62 ammunition, 1 round 45 ammunition and 2 silk wrapped packets containing marijuana amounting to 81 grams was found and seized during a police exercise last night in the northern division.
The exercise which was held between 6:30pm and 9:30pm, was spearheaded by Senior Superintendent Francis and Superintendent Kissoonlal, coordinated by ASP Pitt and Inspector Davidson.
The items were found in a man purse when the officers searched a dwelling house at Pinto Road, Arima. A warrant is said to be issued for the arrest of the man of the premises.
