Police seeking help to confirm ID of man killed in La Romaine

Homicide detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the body of a Venezuelan national, which was found with stab wounds on a dirt road in La Romaine on Saturday.

The police believe they have identified the victim but are awaiting confirmation.

The man’s body was found lying face up in a dirt road off M2 Ring Road shortly after noon on Saturday.

Police said they were alerted via an anonymous tip-off.

The man is said to be light brown complexion and in his early twenties.

He was clad in a pair of black three-quarter pants and bareback.

There were stab wounds to the face and left upper back. Tattooed on the left upper arm were the words “get rich or die trying” and a praying hand on the left upper back.

Unconfirmed reports stated that the man, who resided in La Romaine, went to sell an iPhone in San Fernando. He was riding a bicycle. Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3 are investigating.
