Police in Bournemouth are searching for two people who were spotted fighting in the road over ownership of a duck’.
Passersby called police after reportedly seeing a man and woman ‘wrestling’ in the middle of the street over the animal.
Officers were called, however, by the time they arrived, the duo had left the scene.
Witnesses say that at around 6:30 PM the couple was seen wrestling on the floor in the middle of the road trying to get the duck off each other.
Residents suggest neither the man nor the woman was from the area.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said they received the call about the disturbance and responded promptly.
Officers attended and carried out a search of the area but the parties in question were able to “duck” them.
The whereabouts of the duck is unknown.
