Police recover three stolen vehicles in Northern Division

Police recovered three stolen vehicles in a coordinated, intelligence-led, four-hour exercise conducted in the Northern Division.

Northern Division officers, including the Northern Division Task Force Area North and South, Arima CID, Arima Operational Crime Patrol (OCP) and the Special Operational Unit (SOU), conducted the Operation Blue Line exercise between 10:30 pm on 2nd November, 2023 and 2 am today, 3rd November, 2023.

Officers received information that a vehicle was being disassembled in the vicinity of Silica Sand Extension Road, Valencia and a party of officers proceeded to the location. Upon arrival the officers observed a group of men in the process of disassembling a white Nissan B-15 vehicle. Upon seeing the officers, the men fled in the direction of a dark forested area. The officers pursued the men with the assistance of the Air Support Unit; however, the suspects were able to evade capture.

Two additional vehicles, a green CK3 Mitsubishi Lancer, and a white Nissan Wingroad were also discovered at the scene. Vehicle parts, which appeared to be parts from a white Nissan B-15, were found inside the Nissan Wingroad. Further checks revealed that the Nissan Wingroad and the CK3 Mitsubishi Lancer were both reported stolen from the Eastern Division.

All vehicles were wrecked to the La Horquetta Police Station where they were lodged for safe keeping and to be processed by the Crime Scene Investigations team.
This exercise was spearheaded by ACP Subero, Snr. Supt. Francis and Supt. Cathy. It was coordinated and supervised by ASP Pitt, with the assistance of Sgt. Caesar.
