PM held talks with U.S Congressman on energy security for T&T

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley held talks with Congressmen from the House Foreign Affairs Committee in Washington DC.

Minister of Energy and Energy Industries and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister, Stuart Young also attended the meetings.

Dr Rowley first met with Congressman John James (R-Michigan) at the Longworth House Office Building.
Representative James serves as a member of the Subcommittee on Western Hemisphere, on Tuesday May 16th.

The Prime Minister also met with Congressman Gregory Meeks (D-NY 5th District) at the Rayburn House Office Building.

Congressman Meeks is the Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. He formerly served as the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

The discussions focused on efforts geared towards energy security for Trinidad and Tobago and the wider region.

It was recognised that Trinidad and Tobago is an important ally providing welcome support and stability in the region.
