Mayaro MP Rushton Paray says the newly elected UNC National Executive must address the issues that arose in Saturday’s internal election.
In particular, there were questions regarding the voter list, with some persons claiming that they were unable to cast ballots.
At a media conference on Sunday morning, Mr Paray pointed out that issues have always arisen at internal elections.
He adds however that it is not his job to fix it.
The MP was also concerned about the overall low turnout of the UNC’s membership for the election.
At the briefing, Mr Paray and fellow United Patriots candidate Anita Haynes-Alleyne also congratulated the new National Executive.
They also reiterated their continued support for the UNC, as they urged the NatEx to deliver on its platform promises.
