Following a statement by the Prime Minister on Wednesday that he did not know who benefitted from a US donation of 11 million dollars, the US Embassy has now revealed a full list, in order to put this all to bed.
In a social media post today on the US Embassy TT page, it was revealed that the US government donated US$11 million to local NGOs and international organisations to help Venezuelan migrants in Trinidad and Tobago.
The list includes 14 entities which had been given funds to help Venezuelan migrants and for covid19 assistance, totalling $11,440,016 for the period 2018-2020.
